Easy To Get What You Need

The all in one everyone needs!
I've been putting off getting everyone else insured but after meeting Thomas he really made the whole experience a no brainer. He made sure we understood everything and went over all our options to create something that would cover what we need to protect and at a price we could afford.

Very knowledgeable and the best place I could have started!!
I met Thomas through my parents. He was dealing with them for many years and eventually I decided to start investing my own money. Our first meeting is one I'll probably never forget. I was new to the whole idea of investing and Thomas broke it down so beautifully in a way that I could understand and feel comfortable with. He told me that one of the biggest parts of his job was "helping people manage their emotions." I found out while working with him that this was true. Because of course when it came to dealing with my money, my emotions were all over the place. For me, the greatest thing Thomas does is his simple checks ins. I will get either a text or an email always asking how I'm doing, if I need anything or have any questions. These emails always seem to come when I start to feel just a bit uneasy as if he had almost known exactly when I needed it. I would highly recommend Thomas if you are just starting out. There is an aspect of his personality that made him so genuine and real. This helps you understand that his only real motivation is help to you better yourself.

"While other investment or life insurance agents simply sell you a policy and then seldom, if ever, do you hear from them again, Thomas regularly "checks in" to see how things are going. This proved to be very beneficial just after I turned 64 because I was thinking about getting another life insurance policy as my 10-year term life insurance policy was coming due in a couple of years and would be unaffordable to renew. Thomas's continual research into new products proved to be very beneficial because he found a very affordable investment life insurance plan that met and exceeded my expectations.
Another service that I particularly appreciate from Thomas is that investment statements are available on-line at any time, unlike other institutions that only provide them annually or at the end of the investment term.

"Thomas reached out to me after I had contacted an insurance company looking for UL policy. They say first impressions are extremely important and I can tell you that Thomas did not disappoint. He was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable from the get-go. He got my information and requirements down and within a week of our first meeting, he presented an information package that explained exactly in detail how life insurance policies work and the differences between UL, Participating/Whole Life and Term which made it extremely easy to choose the appropriate product for my needs.
Whenever I or one of my family members had any questions, Thomas would get back to us almost immediately, if it was during business hours, otherwise next business day. In the event that he did not know the answer 100%, he would tell you after which he would make it his "mission" to finding the correct answer and get back to you within 24-48 hours. If he was ever out of town or country, he would let you know in advance so that if you had any problems, you could contact the insurance company directly.
Before I entered into business with him, I met with a lot of insurance agents while I was shopping around of my life insurance. I can tell you right now from my current experience with Thomas as others will as well I'm sure, that he is someone who you want on your team when it comes to dealing with insurance or specific financial products.
He's funny, trustworthy, honest, helpful and resourceful especially if your shopping for other insurance products like vehicle or home, or have needs for specific products like mortgages or financial planners.
Therefore, I would recommend him to anyone who wants one of the highest level of Quality Services, if not the highest, in the insurance business."

"I was looking for disability insurance, I found Thomas on the Internet. We set up a meeting at Starbucks. I had met with other salesman before so I had a good idea what to expect. Within 10 minutes of meeting with him, I had learned more from him than I had the previous meetings. Thomas went over what I should be looking for in a policy and showed me what my options were. He explained everything and made sure I understood and was comfortable.
We met for a second time because I had decided to set up a policy. We went over all the questions and made sure I knew exactly what I was getting. After our meeting there was a waiting period to see if I would get approved. During that time he kept in touch every time he got an update about my application.
Over all I am very pleased with our interaction. Thomas is very personable and very thorough. He took the time to explain everything. Thomas is looking out for my best interest, and makes me feel like I am more than a client to him.

“I first met Thomas a couple of years ago after a friend of mine introduced us. After we met there was no immediate need to make any changes or add anything new with regards to our insurance portfolio, however I understood it would only be a matter of time until that situation changed. Thomas is the new standard to judge other agents against. Thomas Thorne is a professional at what he does and he should be consulted before you buy any insurance products. If you wait until you need you can't get it. We all hate paying for insurance and never cashing in on it but if you consult with Thomas he will ensure you get the proper coverage and have it in place because the moment you wished you had insurance to cover something is too late to try and get it. Don't get insurance you don't need but be sure to get what you do need.

Amazing service, patience and commitment!
Thomas and I met within the first few years of moving to Ottawa (06-07ish). At the point when we met I was unable to get the disability insurance I was seeking for myself. As an RMT I was looking to cover all my bases for the future but I hit a few snags with some of the paperwork/health questions. Thomas kept in touch with me for years after we first met checking in to see if "now" was a better time to start looking into trying to reapply for insurance. Never pushy about it, just checking in to see how life was going. We sat down a few times discussing all my options and how I'd like to go about covering my bases. In mid 2012 we sat down and got some serious paperwork rolling to get me the insurance I knew I'd need for the future. I'm happy to say that with his great commitment to finding me the right insurance I've now had my disability insurance policy in place for over a year and both my husband and I have been over the moon with his service. We are currently expecting our first son, and have already contacted Thomas about how to go about starting to look into life insurance. I would recommend Thomas 10 times over (and have). His commitment to finding the right insurance for what I was looking was amazing and had I not met him I'm sure I'd still be floundering around blindly looking for someone to guide me in the right insurance direction. "If you wait till' you need it, you can't get it"
These words speak for themselves. As a young business owner, with a new family, Thomas opened my eyes to the importance of having insurance not only for myself but for my loved ones. These words said so simply tell you everything that you need to know when it comes to life, critical illness or disability insurance. My experience with Thomas ‘services was fantastic. He was always punctual and accommodating to my busy schedule to provide me with the services that I needed. Thomas is very informative and knowledgeable in his field. This is obvious to me when all the information is relayed to me in conversation as opposed to previous insurance agents that basically read the information out of a brochure. Our original financial advisor quit the business and left us in the care of a pragmatic, distant, and incomprehensible consultant. It was not a good match. Thomas was recommended to us and provided accessible, clearly understood guidance for our best investment options. He does not sugar coat information nor does he inflate expectations. I appreciate the honesty. Our insurance needs are not the main issue since we are in an older demographic, this is something Thomas understands perfectly well and concentrates his efforts on retirement planning, but does monitor that we are not over insured. I'm very comfortable with the advice he gives, and that he's gracious when I decline to accept his suggestions, If you want to discuss your options and learn what is available and how best to proceed, you'll need a consultant like Thomas.

Very professional!
I first met Mr. Thorne about 7 years ago when I left my employer to start my own company. I needed some life insurance for my children in case something bad happens... Mr. Thorne was able to meet with me promptly at a location close to where I was working. Right at the beginning, the atmosphere was relax and respectful. I never felt once that I was push toward a certain product or anything like that. He had answers for all my questions and spent all the time I needed to properly understand the details about the right type of insurance for me. Since then, he contacted me about once a year to suggest changes in my investments or to remind me it was time for new insurance options (because my kids were getting older). Overall, a very pleasant man that takes time to explain all the details without giving me any pressure. Two thumbs up!!!

Truly great service
From our first meeting over coffee, I sensed that Thomas is someone who listens and takes his customers' requirements seriously. When we met, my account had some challenges. He quickly sorted that out and has, ever since, made things work. He's realistic and knowledgeable and I've always found his advice useful. Thomas has regularly followed up on my account. Reliability, Knowledge and Integrity
The first thing I said to Thomas when he became my financial advisor was that I wanted him to contact me at least four times a year to keep me abreast of my portfolio with a quick email/phone call and he's never missed one call. My previous financial advisor had kept in touch for the first two years and then seemed to disappear. It is very important for me to have one person dedicated to my portfolio and not have to call a bank where their staff are frequently transferred. Thomas is always available, courteous and professional. He is very knowledgeable and it shows in the result achieved by my accounts!! I have recommended Thomas to my friends and family.

I have worked with Thomas for many years. After a string of disappointing advisors, I was fortunate Thomas came my way. He worked hard to understand what as important to me, and how he could best help. He is exceptionally knowledgeable, and I can rely on his advice. Thomas is very pro-active in providing guidance and ideas. I hate using the banks, and have had poor experience with others where they just avoid making work for themselves and just address you when you decide you should reach out to check up on things, request changes, etc. Thomas understands what fits into my portfolio, goals, risk profile, etc. and will actually come to me periodically with suggestions. There are times where I do not take his advice, and he doesn't take it personally.
